I
thank the Agrocare Community Development Association, the Dalmar
Foundation, The Federation of Somali Associations in the
Netherlands, and Oxfam Novib for inviting me to make remarks on
the role of the United States and the international community in
Somalia at this conference in The Hague. |
AGROCARE SPEECH
It gives me great pleasure to stand here before you to talk about peace and good governance in Somalia, a country that has been labeled by the UN as a non-state and described by CNN as the most insecure place on earth. I am here to remove that image from your minds. I will do that by introducing to you a group that is working with the Somali in and international partners who have hope in Somalia to develop the country and nurture peace and good governance. |

To the Dutch government
Deeply concerned about the
deteriorating security situation in Somalia. The Somalia
diaspora in the Netherlands urged the Netherlands government to
support us in helping us the Somalia population to overcome the
existing state of instabilty and insecurity.
